Konstantelias wins the Regency Casino Best Goal of the Season award
The 2025-26 season ended with PAOK scoring 101 goals in 55 matches. Among them, there were moments of real football magic. Stunning shots, impressive combinations, and in a word… goals. The choice for the Regency Casino Best Goal of the Season 2025-26 was difficult, but we have a winner! Ladies and gentlemen, Giannis Konstantelias.
Giannis Konstantelias’ goal against AEK garnered 38.53% of the votes to take the big individual prize. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder took advantage of a misplaced back pass from AEK defender Moukoudi and, with a magical body feint, sent the Union goalkeeper the wrong way before rolling the ball into an empty net at the Allwyn Arena.
In second place with 28.62% was Giorgos Giakoumakis for his impressive goal in the game against Rijeka, when he received a wonderful ball from Konstantelias and then, with an impressive flick over an opposing defender on the touchline, he got himself in front of goal but still with a lot of work to do and the angles against him. He controlled the ball on his chest and then unleashed a thunderbolt past the visiting goalkeeper.
Third in the audience’s preferences was again Konstantelias with 8.07%, this time for the goal he scored against Panathinaikos at the «Apostolos Nikolaidis». After a pass from Taison, he dribbled past Jedvaj in stylish fashion before applying a flawless diagonal finish into Lafont’s net.
