Greece will play two interesting friendly matches. They will host Paraguay on March 27 (21:00) at the “Georgios Karaiskakis” stadium and then travel to Budapest for the match against Hungary on March 31 (20:00), with the national team coach Ivan Jovanovic calling up three PAOK players in Giannis Konstantelias, Christos Zafeiris and Antonis Tsiftsis .

Tomasz Kedziora and the Poland team will take part in play-off matches for one of the four remaining European tickets for the World Cup. On 26.03 (21:45) they welcome Albania and if they qualify they will play on 31.03 (21:45) with the winner of Ukraine-Sweden, and will compete either in Valencia (where the Ukraine plays their World Cup play off games) or in Solna, Sweden.

Also, Jorge Sanchez leaves for Mexico for two international friendlies. On 28.03 (04:00 am 29.03) Mexico welcomes Portugal and on 31.03 (04:00 am 01.04) Belgium.

Karel Mustma was called up to the Estonian squad, who play in Kigali, Rwanda against Kenya (27.03) in the semi-final of the FIFA Series and depending on the result will then play either Rwanda or Grenada (30.03).

The Greek Under-21 play two important games in the sixth qualifying group for EURO 2027, with Dimitris Monastirlis and Dimitris Hatsidis in their squad. On 27.03 (18:00) they face Malta, at the «Lambros Katsonis» Livadia Municipal Stadium and on 31.03 (19:00) Germany, at the «Apostolos Nikolaidis» in Athens. Greece are in first place with 15 points after five matches, followed by Germany with 12 points.

The top teams of the nine groups and the best second-place finisher (excluding results against the teams that finished in sixth place) qualify directly for the final phase of the tournament, which will be co-hosted by Albania and Serbia. Play-offs will also be held in November 2026, in which the remaining eight second-place teams from the groups will participate. The final phase therefore involves 16 teams.

The Greece Under-19 team also plays in the Elite Round, having a difficult task in the group that they were drawn in, as they are called upon to face Austria (25.03, 13:00), Germany (28.03, 19:00), and Sweden (31.03, 19:00). PAOK Academy has the lion’s share of the call-ups included in the squad, with nine of our players included. Those involved are Stathis Beleri, Giorgos Kosidis, Dimitris Bataoulas, Bentry Dunga, Pavlos Tsiotas, Giannis Sarris, Vassilis Eleftheriadis, Thanasis Papanikopoulos and Anestis Mythou. First place leads to the finals of EURO 2026, which will be held in Wales with the participation of the host country Wales and the top seven of the seven groups of the Elite Round. In the draw for the final phase, two groups of four teams will be formed, with the top two of each group playing in the semi-finals.

Greece’s Under-17 side are also chasing qualification for EURO 2026, with six PAOK players included in the squad. Giorgos Nikolaidis, Thodoris Kalpakis, Nikos Chaldezos, Giannis Gersos, Ioannis Neto and Konstantinos Souvlatzis will be in Montenegro for the games against Montenegro (25.03, 13:00), Sweden (28.03, 13:00) and Norway (31.03, 16:00). It should be noted that this is the generation born in 2009, with Neto being called up despite being a year younger (2010).

Greece U-17’s have already advanced to the 2nd qualifying phase of League A, in which 28 teams participate (seven groups of four). The seven leaders will qualify along with the host Estonia. If Estonia are among the seven group winners, the best second-place finisher from all groups will also qualify. The final phase, which will take place in Estonia from 25 May to 7 June, will therefore involve eight teams, who will compete in two groups of four teams, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the semi-finals of the competition.
