On Greek Cup mode
PAOK players have put their win over Levadiakos behind them and are now focusing on sealing their qualification to the Greek Cup quarter-finals. Of course that is a formality, given their 5-1 away victory over AO Trikala.
The second leg of Tuesday doesn’t leave any room for relaxation. Therefore, a few hours after the Levadiakos match, the football section of the “Double-Headed Eagle” gathered at PAOK FC Sports Centre in Nea Mesimvria and got to work.
Those who played on Saturday remained in the gym and the pool, for decompression and recuperation. The remaining players got out on the pitch and, after the usual warm-up, they engaged in possession and passing games, practiced their finishing and concluded the session with a 5v5 game with one goalkeeper.
José Alberto Cañas is complaining of calf pains. The medical staff believe it’s not a serious injury, but they will submit the player to further examination on Monday anyway to have a clear picture of his condition.
Omar El Kaddouri and Panagiotis Glykos continued their respective programs, while Ergys Kaçe remained at home due to fever.
Monday’s training session is scheduled to start at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
