«Passion, determination, will, thirst»

A few hours before kick-off between Asteras and PAOK in Tripolis, Panagiotis Deligiannidis shared his thoughts on Novasports TV. Read what the young player had to say:

03.03.2018

On past week’s events:

«It’s tough not to play such eagerly-awaited games, especially the way the situation unfolded. I don’t want to comment any further. I just want to leave everything that happened on Sunday behind«.

On PAOK’s performance against Panionios:

«I admit we played very well, especially in the first half. We managed to score three times in an away game, gaining a huge advantage for qualification to the Greek Cup final. After the non-held game against Olympiakos, we held a team talk and decided these events shouldn’t affect our morale negatively, but rather make us even more determined. We now need to win all remaining games in order to claim the Greek Cup and the league title«.

On the team’s situation ahead of the Tripolis trip:

«We are in great form. Our coach is able to read his players and vice versa. There is excellent atmosphere both on and off the pitch. We have it all, passion, determination, will, thirst«.

On whether the team came out on top after everything that happened:

«Whatever happens, whether we lose the points or the match is rescheduled, we must win all seven remaining games«.

On Asteras Tripolis and what PAOK need to defeat them:

«Following Mr Pantelidis’s appointment at the helm, Asteras Tripolis have created a very good team –he had shown his worth last season as well, when he took over Iraklis. It won’t be an easy match. None of the so-called big clubs have won in ‘Theodoros Kolokotronis’«.
