# PAOK scored three goals in Nea Smyrni, in the first leg of the Greek Cup semi-finals on 28 February 2018. Maurício (24’), Prijović (34’) and Biseswar (73’) got on the scorers’ sheet in the 3-1 victory over Panionios, with Korbos reducing distances for the “blue-and-reds” in the 85th minute.

# Twice in the past have PAOK and Panionios faced each other in back-to-back games for the league and the Greek Cup. On 7 June 1970, the league encounter in Nea Smyrni ended goalless and, one week later, the “Double-Headed Eagle” prevailed 1-0 in Toumba Stadium for the Greek Cup. On 18 January 1987, PAOK won 4-1 at home for the league, but lost 3-0 to Panionios in Nea Smyrni for the Greek Cup on 21 January.

# PAOK and Panionios have met nine times before in the Greek Cup, with the record of qualifications standing at 6-3 (advantage PAOK). They were drawn six times together in the quarter-finals, once in the semis, once in the last 16 phase and also in the stage of 32.

# In the quarter-final stage, PAOK qualified five times at the expense of Panionios and the Nea Smyrni outfit once. Panionios qualified when the two sides met in the “last 32” and in the semi-final stage, but were eliminated by PAOK when they clashed in the stage of 16.
