Final countdown
PAOK players are getting ready for their first official match of the season. Their objective is to be as much in form as possible for the home encounter against FC Basel corresponding to the UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round.
Sunday’s training session was held in Toumba Stadium and consisted entirely of tactical work, as Răzvan Lucescu is prepping his troops for Tuesday’s encounter.
The football section were not alone there though. PAOK FC president Ivan Savvidis and his son Giorgis visited them. They talked to the players and the head coach and watched the session.
Diego Biseswar didn’t participate in the training, as he continues his physiotherapy problem in order to recover from his injury.
Monday’s training session is scheduled to start at 09:30 in Toumba Stadium. Lucescu and André Vieirinha will hold their pre-match press conference at noon in the Press Room of the venue.
