Focusing on the next ‘final’
The match against AEL is already in the past. Dropping two points is the lesser of two evils. PAOK must learn coping without their skipper who suffered a serious injury during the AEL FC Arena game.
Adelino Vieirinha has been doing physiotherapy since sustaining the injury to reduce the swelling in the affected area. The Portuguese player came to Nea Mesimvria on Tuesday to work with the medical staff. The rehabilitation process will be decided once the inflammation subsides.
The football section of PAOK are now totally focused on the next challenge ahead. After taking Monday off, they returned to trainings on Tuesday and started prepping for the encounter against Levadiakos, to be held on Sunday in Toumba Stadium.
Those who featured against AEL, did recuperation and decompression work in the gym, in the pool and on the pitch. The rest worked on ball possession and passing through 6v2 games and a training match.
Pedro Henrique, Omar El Kaddouri and Pontus Wernbloom trained apart from their teammates, while Chuba Akpom returned to normal training.
Wednesday’s training session is scheduled to start at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
