#PAOK have recorded 31 wins in 56 matches against Aris on home turf. There have been 15 draws, while the Yellow and Blacks have won nine times.
#PAOK are unbeaten against Aris for 10 consecutive matches, both home and away and in all competitions. There have been three wins for PAOK and seven draws since PAOK’s last defeat at home to Aris on October 3, 2010.
#PAOK’s ‘favorite’ winning scoreline is 2-0, which has happened 10 times between the two sides. After that it’s 1-0 which has been teh result eight times, while PAOK have also won by a 4-1 scoreline on two occasions – in 2009 and 2012.
#On February 16, 1975 PAOK recorded their biggest victory over Aris, a 5-0 success. Goals from Paridi (23 ‘), Koudas (28′, 52 ‘), Tsiligiridis (66′), Sarafi (87 ‘) sealed a victory which ended up costing Aris coach Branko Stankovic his job.
#George Koudas has scored five goals in derby matches against Aris, both home and away. The first was on February 27, 1966 at Aris’ home ground, his goal pulling the score back to 1-2 in the 42nd minute of the match. Unfortunately, PAOK lost the match lost 5-1. Since then he scored four more times and occupies the top scorer position along with George Skartados.
#In the 1962-63 season, PAOK beat Aris 3-0 on Matchday 27 and send them down to second from bottom in the table, where they remained until the end of the season. However, Aris saved themselves in the Playoffs in matches against Panagialios, Apollo Kalamarias, and Proodeftiki, the latter of which was the team that lost out and followed bottom club Fostira in being relegated to the second division.
#Giorgos Kostikos was the player who opened the scoring in the match between PAOK and Aris which marked the start of the professional era of Greek football. The 2-0 win on that day on February 3, 1980 was the first in the Toumba.
#On March 17, 1997, Aris was second from bottom in the table and the club was desperately close to its first-ever relegation from the top flight. Zisis Vryzas scored twice (70 ‘, 75’) in a 2-1 victory which sent them closer to the abyss, with Dimitris Mavrogenidis ‘(83’) on target for Aris.
