Preparing for Sunday service
Players and coaching staff are working at full pace again following the international break, and all the focus in training is on the tactical approach for the upcoming match against Larissa at the Toumba on Sunday (24.11, 18:00).
Larissa is a team that has shown in the early part of the season that they are a strong opponent who can cause plenty of problems against any team they come up against, and our coaching staff and players know this only too well. In Thursday’s training session, everybody’s attention was firmly focused on the upcoming contest against the Thessaly club on Sunday.
After the mandatory warm-up exercises and a few games of rondo, Abel Ferreira got his clipboard out to show the players a few of the tactical finer points that he wants to see implemented on the pitch.
Pontus Wernbloom and Leo Jaba are the only absentees due to injury, with PAOK’s Portuguse coach having all the rest of his payers available for selection. Swedish midfielder Wernbloom continued his individual recovery program, while Brazilian forward Jaba will have surgery on his knee injury today.
On Friday (22.11) PAOK will train at 10:30 at Nea Mesimvria.
