When AK47 strikes
Chuba Akpom’s impressive strike against Panetolikos in Agrinio came out on top in the voting to win the Regency Casino Best Goal for December award.
AK47 had been looking to get back among the goals for a while. Josip Misic made sure that the Englishman would have the perfect opportunity by sending him clean through on goal with a delicious slide-rule pass which took the entire Panetolikos defense out of the game.
Akpom’s job from the moment he latched on to the ball looked simple, but he showed great composure to slot a powerful side-footed effort into the corner to make the final score 3-0 in Agrinio.
In the voting process ran via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App, in collaboration with Regency Casino, Akpom’s sumptuous strike claimed 52,69% of the vote to earn him the title of the Best Goal for December.
In second place was Ingi Ingason’s header against Atromitos, again following an assist from Misic, and the podium was completed by Jose Crespo with his header against Xanthi.
