Adrian Nilsen Pereira joins PAOK

PAOK FC announces the signing of Adrian Nilsen Pereira from Viking. The young left-back has signed a four-year contract and will wear the number 16 jersey.

12.09.2020

Adrian Nilsen Pereira was born on August 31, 1999 in Stavanger, Norway. At a very young age he came to realize that he would follow in the footsteps of his father. Thomas Pereira enjoyed a long career in Norwegian football, playing also as a left-back, mainly for Viking, where he remained for 12 years.

Pereira’s son joined his local team at the age of 11 and just two years later, he was transferred to Viking. After four years he was promoted to the first team, and on November 26, 2017 he made his official, full debut in a match against Stabaek.

A year later he signed his first professional contract, and gradually earned a regular place in the starting XI. In the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons he made a total of 39 appearances, scoring four goals, contributing eight assists, and celebrated one Norwegian Cup.

In 2019 he was also called up to the Norway Under-21 squad, for whom he has made two appearances. Norways’ football academy has been in the spotlight in recent years, and Pereira has been on the books of many scouts across Europe.

His speed, technique and consistency have ensured he has stood out, and PAOK finally won the race for his signature.

Welcome Adrian!
