The first… match
The ongoing work on tactics and passing is all well and good, but the big problem that all of the teams will face in the upcoming Super League restart is the lack of rhythm. It’s matches and competitive minutes on the pitch that help players to find their footing and form.
And based on that logic, coach Abel Ferreira has begun to prepare PAOK for match conditions. The second half of today’s training session was devoted to a friendly match of 50 minutes duration using a full-size pitch, so that the players can step up their efforts to find their rhythm as well a reduce the risk of injuries.
The first part of the program saw the players put through their paces with several fitness drills and passing exercises. On Friday (22.05) the squad will regroup and train again at 09:30 at Nea Mesimvria.
