Covid-19 tests and tactics lessons
The Covid-19 pandemic continues to make everyday life for the general public a different experience, and that goes for football too. Apart from the team’s preparations Super League Interwetten 2020-21 season opener against Larissa at the Toumba Stadium, there’s also the planning around public health, so that everybody follows the necessary protocols put in place.
Wednesday’s (09.09) training session was devoted to tactics. After the necessary warm-up routine, the players executed various exercises and played out some games following some specific coaching instructions, with the emphasis placed on attacking build-up play, possession and passing.
Before the session got underway, all members of the squad submitted new Covid-19 tests. Dimitris Limnios remained in quarantine at home, while Alexandros Paschalakis also remains isolated from the rest of the squad until the results of his new test are confirmed.
Despite the fact that Giannoulis, Michailidis, Ingason, Tziolis, Tsiggaras, Balogiannis and Mihaj all returned from international duty having tested negative, they continued to train separately from the main group until the results of the new tests submitted on Wednesday (09.09) are confirmed.
Finally, Rodrigo and Douglas Augusto continued their individual training programs with work out on the training pitch and in the gym.
The Double-headed Eagle players will train at 19:00 on Thursday (10.09) at the Toumba Stadium.
