On PAOKs recent positive displays:

«We’re happy with the recent performances. The team is in good shape. We have improved some things that were hurting us in previous games. The results are good, with the exception of the game with Olympiacos that we had to win as well. The positive thing is that the victories have come with good football. And so we keep going; we have a lot of games ahead and we have to work even harder because the work never stops.»

On what is more important, the fact that PAOK have scored eight goals in their last two games or that they have kept two clean sheets:

«Both are important. Offensively we have been good, we have created chances and scored goals. And in the defensive part we have improved a lot of things; we have not conceded goals in two games in a row, and we have to keep it that way. We have to be on top of our game both in the offensive and defensive parts to overcome all the difficulties.»

On the effect Krmencik and his goals have had:

«He is a player of great quality, and he has helped us a lot so far. But so are other players, such as Warda, Tzolis, El Kaddouri, and Schwab. All of them are in very good condition, and are playing well. We have a lot of players, and that gives us plenty of options from the bench, players with quality. Players are coming off the bench and helping us, and that’s important.»

On Christos Tzolis:

«Christos is having a great year. He also stood out in the academy. The truth is that we did not expect him to do such great things at senior level, especially with such ease. He deserves a huge thumbs up. We will help him improve, and we hope he continues like this.»

On what makes Tzolis special:

«He has no nerves or anxiety at all during matches. Whether he plays against Semedo or Rafinha, or another defender, he does not worry about anything. He wants to score goals, he wants to dribble and he has that ability. These are his strengths.»

On AEK and how much the team’s displays have changed under Jimenez:

«AEK has changed its style of play and performances under Jimenez. They play much harder, more defensively, and they have quality yp front, players that create problems. We are also in a good spell of form so we expect a good game, but we are only interested in getting a victory.»

On whether or not the derby will be decided by who is the stronger of the two teams:

«I think so yes. AEK are a strong team, they play hard, especially in the one-on-on duels all over the pitch. We have to react there and be better than them.»

On the departure of Biseswar:

«Diego has been at the club for many years. We have great respect for what he has contributed. It was difficult for him to fit into our squad at the moment. He understood that too. He went to Cyprus, we thank him for everything he achieved with PAOK. He won titles and played some very good matches.»

On whether there are any other transfer developments:

«No, not at the moment.»
