The PAOK Academy also produces… students
Consistency, effort, and perseverance are always rewarded. Admission to university is no mean feat, and it is worthy of admiration and congratulations especially in the case of children who are also involved in top-level sport. So we are very proud and happy for our PAOK Academy “kids”, who have achieved yet another goal.
Well done, then, to George Tsiakoumis (TEFAA Komotini), Giannis Manolioudis (Business Administration, Serres), Vassilis Kitsakis (History and Ethnology, Komotini), Alexandros Tsioptsis (Pedagogy Alexandroupolis), Tito Kiatros (Nutrition and Dietetics, Oreokastro)
Congratulations to all of the players who have worked so hard in this difficult and strange year. It is good to always remember that what matters most is managing both success and frustration.
It should also be noted that in the PAOK B Team, eight of our players are also students. Successful in the national examinations, they are already combining football and university education. Those players are: Chatzistravos, Salamoura, Panidi, Kaloutsikidis, Tsopouroglou, Giaxis, Panagiotou, Grosdis, and Christos Talichmanidis, who is also training with the first team.
Of course, the head of the PAOK Academy, Vangelis Pourliotopoulos, could not help but praise his charges:
«The contribution of education to athletes is extremely important, and it has always been our prerequisite and a basic principle at the Academy. Knowledge is strength and education strengthens personalities. We are proud of the kids who manage to combine both consistently, and we are proud of all of our players who try hard, even if they do not succeed. They will reap the benefits of it throughout the course of their lives.»
