Under-19’s win 3-0 in Volos
PAOK’s Under-19 side needed just 10 minutes to “lock up” victory in Volos. After hitting a post an scoring two goals within the first eight minutes, PAOK’s youngsters continued to manage the game perfectly and added a third goal near the end to seal all three points, a result which kept them one point behind leaders Olympiacos.
In the second minute, Rumiantsev’s shot hit the post, before Smyrlis opened the socring two minutes later, finding the back of the net from the rebound after Tzimas’ shot. Then in the eighth minute, Tzimas made it 2-0 from Kalogiros’ assist.
During the course of the match, the Double-headed Eagle missed further good chances to score more goals with Tzimas, Rumiantsev, Kalogiros, Smyrlis, and Zilos. However, a third goal duly came in added time through Goumas from Politakis’ assist.
There are four matches to play in the second round to complete the championship.
