- For the third consecutive season, PAOK begin their European obligations at home, as it did last season with Banja Luka (3-2) and in 2023-24 with Beitar (0-0). The Double-headed Eagle qualified in both cases with away victories, 1-0 against Banja Luka and 4-1 against Beitar.
- This is the 17th consecutive year that PAOK begin their competitive obligations in the summer, in July or early August. The beginning of this “process” took place on July 30, 2009 with the Valerega-PAOK which PAOK won 2-1 when they played in a European game for the first time earlier than August.
- In the last six times that they started their qualifying campaign with a home match, they won three, drew two and lost only in the first home match, which was on July 30, 2013 (PAOK – Metalist Kharkiv 0-2).
- After three consecutive winless premiers, they broke the negative tradition last year and defeated Banja Luka 3-2. In the previous three ties, they had lost 2-0 to Levski on July 21, 2022 and 2-1 to Bohemians on August 3, 2021, while on July 27, 2023 there was a goalless draw with Beitar.
- PAOK are welcoming an Austrian team for the sixth time in their history, having previously faced Wiener in European competitions in 1965-66, Rapid Vienna in 1972-73, Tyrol in 1991-92, Carden in 2001-02 and Rapid Vienna again in 2012-13. In these five matches, PAOK have three wins, one draw and one defeat with a goal difference of 10-6.
