PAOK Academy establishes new department for individual improvement

Specialized training to strengthen weaknesses and improve an athlete’s skills is clearly required in an era of demanding championships, which PAOK Academy consistently engages in. Hence, PAOK have created a new department, for individual improvement, which concerns PAOK B, U-19, U-17 and U-15 level players.

05.09.2025

The department will be headed by Spanish coach Dani Ponz, with significant experience in youth development football and a coaching career in Spanish B and C clubs.

The goal is to optimize the physical, technical, tactical and psychological abilities of players, in order to improve their overall performance and achieve specific goals. The desired goal is clearly the smooth transition of young players from youth level to men’s football.

The department, headed by Ponz, will also include coach Michalis Christaras, fitness coach Kostas Georgiadis and video analyst Thodoris Mikropoulos.

The functions of the department concern the initial evaluation of each football player individually, the establishment of specific individual goals, the planning and development of the training program, and of course the analysis of performances after each match.
