PAOK achieved their goal against Kifissia, returned to Thessaloniki with the three points, and moved to the top of the table. Now the players and staff turn their full attention to the upcoming derby with Olympiacos in Piraeus.
The day after the match in Nikaia, the squad was back in Nea Mesimvria preparing for the upcoming dervy battle at the “Georgios Karaiskakis”.
The players who were in the starting lineup against Kifissia followed a recovery and rehabilitation training program in the gym and the swimming pool, while the rest of the group worked on tactics on the training pitches and played out some short friendly matches.
Pelkas, Meite and Pavlenka followed individual training programs outside, Taison took part in some of the main session with the team and then continued individually, while Giakoumakis and Kenny both underwent treatment. Their condition will be reassessed during Friday’s (06.03) training session which will be held at 17:00.
