Football is a sum of many details. And Razvan Lucescu is a man who does not let the smallest detail go unnoticed. And so, over these last few days before the first match, training has taken on a fine tuning character.
The Romanian coach’s philosophy does not provide for adaptation to the style of the opponent. It requires observance of the basic principles that it tries to instill into PAOK’s game and focus on those small but essential differences which can… unlock a match.
This means that the work to create the team’s identity continues and intensifies. At the same time, however, there is the analysis of Bohemians and the details we mentioned.
Saturday’s training was about the tactics and movement of the ball, with focus on build up from the defensive zone and emphasis on the transition from defense to attack and vice versa. Douglas Augusto did an individual program on the training pitches, Ingi Ingason did fitness training and running, and Jose Crespo continued his rehabilitation program.
On Sunday (01.08) PAOK will train at 09:00 at the Toumba.
