A former club “acquaintance”, Alexandros Apostolopoulos comes in to strengthen the PAOK B defensive line. Born in 1991, the experienced defender who has played in the Super League, Super League 2, and the Greek Cup, but also in the Europa League, began his professional career in 2008 with the PAOK Under-20 squad.

He continued his career on loan at Zakynthos (15 appearances) and Anagennisi Giannitsa (12 appearances) in the third tier of Greek football. His first appearance with the Double-headed Eagle was on November 3, 2011, as a substitute in the 3-1 away victory over Shamrock Rovers in the Europa League, who were then coached by Laszlo Bologni.

After 32 appearances in all competitions with PAOK, he moved on loan to Veria in 2013 (15 appearances), followed by Platanias (71 appearances). He then went to PAS Giannina (59 appearances), and after three seasons, joined Panachaiki (13 appearances) as a free agent. He was also a youth international with Greece up to Under-21 level. Overall, he has made 191 appearances in all competitions, while he has scored four goals and served up 18 assists.
