Italian Giorgio Bianchi took over as PAOK’s goalkeeping coach in the second half of the 2022-23 season. Born in 1975, the newest member of the Double-headed Eagle’s coaching staff cut his teeth as a coach in Italy, with the likes of Brescia, Cremonese, Milan, and Sassuolo, while in the 2021-22 season he worked in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk, with whom he won the Super Cup in the 2021-22 season. In the 2016-17 season, he also won the Italian Super Cup with Milan.
As a player, he started out with Cremonese in 1995, and following some breaks and stints elsewhere, he remained there until 2012. Among others, he has coached Cristiano Abbiati, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Anatoly Trubin, and Andrei Piatov.
