- PAOK welcome Panathinaikos for the 74th time in the league since 1959-60 when the top flight was first established. In these matches, the Double-headed Eagle has recorded 37 wins, Panathinaikos managed to come out victorious 20 times, while 16 of their matches have ended in draws.
- A total of 182 goals have been scored in those matches, with 104 by PAOK and 78 by the Greens. Ingason scored the 100th league goal at home against Panathinaikos on 21 December 2020, in PAOK’s 2–1 win.

- Panathinaikos managed to win the first five games between the two sides since the establishment of the Greek top flight – then called A Ethniki, with two of them being at the Toumba, but PAOK then equalized, and now, with eight consecutive home matches without defeat by Panathinaikos, PAOK are chasing the chance to equal their best performance, which was nine matches without defeat at home to Panathinaikos in the 1970s. From June 6, 1971 when they prevailed 3-2 and started a streak of nine games in which they had seven wins and two draws until March 9, 1980 when they were finally defeated 2-0 by Panathinaikos.
- The biggest victory for PAOK over Panathinaikos came within the modern history of their meetings, since PAOK prevailed 4-0 on December 10, 2017 thanks to two goals from Pelkas and one each from Koulouris and Prijović.
