PAOK B looking ahead to new challenges
PAOK B wrapped up a demanding and stressful season with a 3-1 victory over Makedonikos at the Apollon Kalamaria Stadium. PAOK’s second string completed the play-out group at the top with 34 points, giving a place in the starting lineup and playing time to many of their younger players, as they start preparing for next season.
Among the highlights of the day for the club’s second team was the return of Giorgos Koupenos eight months after his serious injury.
PAOK B opened the scoring after just three minutes through Balde following a pass by Kalaitsidis, and in the 22nd minute Gitersos made it 2-0 ( Balde provided the assist) recording his 13th goal of the season. In the 26th minute Avrampos scored PAOK B’s third goal, from an assist by Kalaitsidis, while in the 38th minute Balde was denied from a one-on-one chance and in the 41st minute Pedro Lucas hit the post.
In the second half, the visitors missed a penalty after 51 minutes through Kadave, with Nikolakoulis making the save. Kadave, however, found a way to score, in the 66th minute, making the final score 3-1.
