Tsiapakidis’ and Hagan’s side lifted their second consecutive Super League Cup thanks to Kyriazidis’ late goal in injury time.

The first half was a tense affair, with a frenetic pace and tough duels. PAOK had the upper hand, but did not manage to impose themselves enough. They did have their moments, in the 15th and 30th minutes with Aretis and in the 19th minute with a shot by Eleftheriadis. On the other hand, Aris threatened in the 31st minute with Tsintsolis making an impressive save.

In the second half, PAOK did not start well, showing too much anxiety in the final third, although they still managed to keep Aris’ threats at bay, especially in the 74th minute. A penalty had been initially awarded to PAOK in the 67th minute, but the VAR review reversed the decision. Balde then had two chances, in the 85th and 87th minutes, before Kyriazidis headed in a corner-kick taken by Eleftheriadis in the 93rd minute to make it 1-0, which is how the match ended as PAOK celebrated winning another trophy.
