PAOK B suffer heavy defeat
PAOK B suffered a heavy defeat in their Matchday 10 clash of the Super League 2 on Saturday in Kalamaria, losing 6-1 to Niki Volos, which puts them in a tricky predicament in view of the rest of the season.
PAOK B found themselves on the ropes early on, as only in their second attempt and despite a first dynamic save by Nikolakoulis, Niki took the lead in the third minute. Lolis was the man who scored from the rebound after Loukinas’ initial header. And before that they could regroup, the home side conceded a second goal, in the 15th minute, with Loukinas‘ hitting the back of the net this time with a header.
Apart from a shot by Balde , PAOK B failed to register another final effort on goal. On the contrary, the visitors scored a third goal through Voutsas from long range in the 25th minute.
In the second half, and despite an initial attempt to respond (the half started with a good shot by Kalogiros), the Double-headed Eagle seemed helpless to react. As if powerless to stop the count-erattacks that resulted in three goals for Niki. In the 67th minute, Loukinas took Nikolakoulis out of the equation and passed to Giakoumakis who made it 4-0. In the 73rd and 76th minutes, with goals from Tseliou and Veliou, the visitors completed their …triumph.
In the 81st minute, PAOK B finally got on the socresheet with a wonderful placed effort by Kalaitsidis.
