Giorgos Tzavellas voted 11888 MVP of September
In football, hard work is the safest way for a player to earn what he is entitled to on the pitch. It’s the case of Giorgos Tzavellas, who prevailed in the poll for 11888 MVP of September.
After a turbulent season that saw him isolated in the U20s and being condemned by supporters, the Greek international defender has now made a U-turn. He earned the fans’ vote and the MVP title for September.
Fans acknowledged this passion, strength and –above all, since we are speaking about football– his consistance since the beginning of the season. His daily work at trainings marks the difference for Giorgos Tzavellas, who also distanced himself from all non-football related factors that would initiate (unwelcome) talk about him.
Tzavellas earned the 11888 MVP title for the month of September with 49,48% of the vote. It’s his first individual accolade since joining PAOK.
Róbert Mak, who has been starring in the team’s attack since July, took 27,76% of the vote and is in second place of the poll. If he continues like that, however, he will be candidate for the season MVP award for sure…
Alexandros Tziolis is the perfect example of a player working systematically and without fuss, thus earning the appreciation of football people. His sound and smart displays render him irreplaceable in midfield. PAOK’s co-captain earned 22,76% of the fans’ vote.
