New Board of Directors of PAOK FC

PAOK FC held their extraordinary General Assembly on Monday, in order to welcome new members in their Board of Directors that will consist of eight members from now on.

21.12.2015

Apart from the return of Ilias Gerontidis (who had typically resigned in favour of Νikos Vezyrtzis) to the Board of Directors, there were two significant additions.

The first newcomer is Mr. Ľuboš Micheľ, a former international referee and member of National Council of the Slovak Republic. With a stellar referee career to show for, the 47-year old Slovak (born in Stropkov of former Czechoslovakia on 16 May 1968) is considered the 6th best referee of the 21st century according to the IFFHS. He has officiated in UEFA Cup final (2003, Porto vs Celtic), UEFA Champions League final (2008, Manchester United vs Chelsea) and in final stages of the FIFA World Cup (2002, 2006) and UEFA Euros (2004, 2008). Mr. Micheľ will handle the club’s International Relations domain.

The second new member of the Board of Directors is Mr. Artur Davidyan. Born in Rostov on 28 October 1977, he has an MBA from Oxford University and has been working for Mr. Ivan Savvidis’s companies. He now resides permanently in Greece, working as CEO of Dimera. Mr. Davidyan will be a valuable addition in the domain of financial and business growth of PAOK FC.

Last but not least, Giorgos Koudas won’t have a seat in the board, but joins the club and will be in close cooperation with the members and the President as their advisor. One cannot put into words who Mr. Koudas is, what he has offered to the club and the extent of his personality. His input will be decisive in an effort to bring the whole PAOK family together. For PAOK FC, it is a special honour to have Giorgos Koudas participate actively in the club’s quest for growth.

The Board of Directors, as confirmed after Monday’s extraordinary General Assembly, consists of the following members:

Iakovos Angelidis – President and CEO

Nikolaos Vezyrtzis – Vice-president

Chrysostomos Gagatsis – Vice-president

Maria Goncharova – Member

Dimokratis Papadopoulos – Member, representing Amateur PAOK.

Ilias Gerontidis – Member

Ľuboš Micheľ – Member

Artur Davidyan – Member
