«Give it 100% in the last match»

Charis Charisis spoke in the mixed zone after the encounter between AEK Athens and PAOK in the Olympic Stadium.

28.05.2017

On the last play:

«To be honest, I didn’t understand why that happened. We are only interested on what happens on the pitch, I don’t get it«.

On PAOK’s showing in this match:

«I believe that AEK were better in the first half and took a deserved lead. In the second half though, we managed to level ball possession and a draw would have been a more fitting result«.

On what was said in the dressing room during the interval:

«We didn’t play as we should in the first half. It looked as if we weren’t ready to deal with this encounter. We improved in the second half and were better than our rivals«.

On the reasons behind the below-par performance in the first half:

«We wanted to win this match as much as AEK did. Perhaps they had done their homework and it showed in the first half«.

On the encounter against Panathinaikos:

«We must give it 100% and get the win that will see us claim top spot«.

On the defeats suffered in Athens:

«That is troubling us all right and we should remedy it. But overall we did what we had to do during the season. We won the Greek Cup and proved that we are able to play better than any team in Greece«.
