The Greek international goalkeeper has gone through a lot in his career and has been the recipient of many comments, that don’t do justice to his value and contribution to the team. He had the inner strength though to put all this aside and become a better player. He has improved to the point of becoming a vital cog for PAOK.

The season that just ended was the best and fullest of his career so far. He has been the starting goalkeeper since the beginning, recorded many difficult saves and made very few mistakes.

Panagiotis Glykos’s overall performances were appreciated by the fans. More than 10.000 participated in the poll organized by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App. Every vote he got was earned through hard work. He deservedly won the “Platon Foropoulos” award after 47 appearances, 4.205 minutes on the pitch, 99 saves, 163 steals and 112 interceptions.

He would rather forget about the last days of the season. His serious knee injury will sideline him for 6-8 months, but Panagiotis is a fighter and will get through this stronger than ever.
