«We are in good shape»
Diego Biseswar spoke to Novasports TV ahead of the upcoming encounter against Panetolikos in Agrinio. Here is what the Dutch midfielder said:
On his level of readiness:
«I feel well. I had some groin pains, but recovered and I believe I will be ready. Now it’s up to the coach«.
On the encounter against Atromitos:
«We are always strong at home. We scored the goals we needed and managed to take the advantage in the tie. We played well against a strong opponent. We are performing well as a team, do not concede goals and continue strongly«.
On what will decide the league:
«I believe that Toumba will be a factor. If we continue with the same force and feel well in Toumba, I don’t believe that any team can defeat us at home«.
On the encounter against Panetolikos:
«Sunday’s match will be tough, as Panetolikos are in need of points and strong at home. I have never lost in Agrinio and hopefully that streak can continue«.
On whether they have handled their problems in away games:
«I believe that we are in better shape in away matches. We have proved it lately. We are going through a good phase and everyone knows what to do on the pitch. We all know each other’s game and are self-confident«.
On the absences in PAOK’s midfield line:
«I don’t know. They could affect us, but that remains to be seen on Sunday. We will definitely miss Pelkas and Cimirot. We have a full squad of quality players to overcome the obstacles. There are 18 players ready to fight«.
On scoring less:
«I don’t play as much as last season. I miss scoring, that is true. But we have a long way ahead of us and my time will come«.
On the aspects that the team need to improve:
«That is a tough question. I believe we are OK on all aspects. Perhaps we could score more early goals in order to avoid pressure towards the closing stages of our matches. We have a good team, we have proved it on the pitch and have what it takes to achieve our objectives«.
His opinion regarding competition:
«All teams are strong. Olympiacos are mighty, AEK also, Panathinaikos are going through hardship. I am expecting interesting matches until the end of the season and I believe that we will celebrate both domestic titles«.
On fans being absent from the Agrinio match:
«We will deal with the match, with or without our fans«.
