PAOK at UEFA Medical Symposium

In recent years, PAOK FC have optimized their medical team with the inclusion of top associates and opt for their continuous training, in an effort to offer the best possible support to the players in the field of injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Head of PAOK’s medical services Manolis Papakostas and lead physiotherapist Sakis Kapoulas participated in the 7th UEFA Medical Symposium. Mr Papakostas is considered a leading figure in orthopaedics in the field of cartilage repair techniques especially via transplant and is president of the Scholarships Committees of ICRS (International Cartilage Repair Society).

The Medical Symposium of UEFA is held every four years and covers all aspects of the role of medicine in the modern game.

The agenda looks at the latest developments in areas such as doctor education, anti-doping, injury rehabilitation and prevention, concussion, nutrition and women football, as well as medical consequences after retiring from football.

PAOK delegates were offered the opportunity to hear from expert speakers and exchange opinions with the rest of attendees.
