Kyriakos Giaxis joins PAOK
PAOK FC announce the signing of Kyriakos Giaxis from Panserraikos on a free transfer. The young player penned a three-year deal with the “Double-Headed Eagle” and will join the U20 squad.
Born on 3 April 2001, Kyriakos Giaxis dove into football really early, joining Pigasos Serres, the youth side of Panserraikos. His excellent performances in the regional league and with the mixed squad of the Serres Union, that led him to a Greek title as captain of his side, helped him get promoted to the senior team of Panserraikos. Last season, he featured in 13 encounters of the Football League.
Meanwhile, Giaxis also got called to Greece U17s and impressed with his displays for them. He features in midfield, participating in attack and defence and is rightly considered one of the most talented youngsters in Greek football.
After Panserraikos got relegated to 3rd tier, the young player was released of his contract. Having received various offers from Greek and foreign clubs, he chose the black-and-white shirt.
