PAOK U19 side have already secured the league title, but haven’t taken their foot off the throttle. AEL became the latest “victim” of Pablo García’s pupils, victorious 2-1 in Alcazar.
Despite various changes in their line-up, the “Double-Headed Eagle” U19s were outstanding once again. They lost a host of opportunities, scored twice in the first half and held on to their lead in the second, weathering the pressure of the home side.
Panidis gave PAOK the lead after 21 minutes of play, teed up by Doumtsis. Three minutes later, Chatzistravos slalomed his way into the box and finished with aplomb to seal his team’s domination in the first half.
After the interval, AEL reacted and managed to reduce distances in the 77th minute. But that was all they could muster, unable to avoid defeat.
