Return to the Johan Cruyff Arena
The Double-headed Eagle of the North returned to the Johan Cruyff Arena for the third time in its history on Tuesday night and completed its training and preparations for the big match against Ajax, with belief, dreams, and ambitions to write history inside one of the most historic stadiums on the planet.
Coach Abel Ferreira and his players had the chance to sample a first taste of the famous ground at their evening training session, while at the same time do some final fine-tuning ahead of the big match.
The training session began with the usual warm-up activities and some conditioning exercises and continued with a game featuring some passing and possession work inside one half of the pitch, with the “away team” winning.
The 21 players who were included in the squad all training normally without any issues and are available for selection for the second-leg, third qualifying round match against Ajax in the Netherlands.
