Paokfc.gr’s column, the Loanees Report, is back to give you the lowdown on how the club’s loanees are doing so far this season.
Rodrigo has earned a regular starting berth at Pachuca and has been putting in some impressive displays for the Mexican side. The Argentine goalkeeper has already made 12 appearances and kept two clean sheets.
Ergys started the season in dynamic form with Larissa. The Albanian midfielder has played in four games, making one assist against Aris and is one of Larissa’s key players so far.
Amr has also made a good start to life at Larissa. The Egyptian winger has made four appearances, with the highlight so far being an assist and winning goal in the same match against Aris in Thessaloniki.
Marko has made 10 appearances at Erzgebirge Aue in Germany’s Bundesliga 2. and in the German Cup, gaining a regular place in the starting lineup.
Thibault seems to have put a difficult period of injury problems behind him and is beginning to break into the first team to help Xanthi’s excellent form in the early part of the season. The French midfielder made his first two appearances in the games against Volos and Panathinaikos, and is aiming to gain the confidence of the team’s coach to establish himself in the starting line-up.
Alexandros is yet to get some match time for Xanthi, with the competition for places intensifying following their brilliant start to the season. He made some positive appearances in summer friendlies, and he is continuing to push for a chance to get some playing time.
Another player who suffered with injuries last season, Giannis was loaned out to Volos over the summer and has made a good start to life with the Magnesia club, already making six appearances.
Nikos has yet to get playing time at Volos, watching his teammates’ efforts in the first six games of this year’s Super League from the bench
Lefteris has made three appearances so far with Volos, and has missed one match through suspensin after being red-carded at the Georgios Karaiskakis against Olympiacos. The young right-back, who already had some match time at PAOK last season, has put in some good performances and is aiming to establish himself in the Magnesia side’s starting XI.
Another player at Volos, Apostolos has made his first four professional appearances at the club. The young defender played in three consecutive matches against Aris, Olympiacos and OFI, while also playing 45 minutes against Atromitos.
Konstantinos immediately earned the trust of his coach at Volos and the young midfielder has played in all six of his team’s games in this year’s Super League, putting in some impressive displays for the newly-promoted side.
Marios is yet to make an appearance at Volos , due to strong competition from Ferrari, who has made a great start to the season. But the young left-back is working hard and waiting for his chance to shine.
Zisis has enjoyed a solid start at A.E Karaiskakis in the city of Arta. The young midfielder started the season impressively by scoring the winning goal against Doxa in Drama, while also playing for 65 minutes in the cup game against Kalamata, where Karaiskakis were ultimately beaten in a penalty shoot-out.
Another player at A.E Karaiskakis, Tasos has yet to make an appearance for the Arta club so far in the two matches which they have played.
Illya has been involved three times – all from the bench – at Ethnikos Achna in the Cypriot championship.
