All about attacking
After a day of defensive work yesterday, the players enjoyed a training session devoted mainly to attacking play on Thursday (07.11), as PAOK gears up for the trip to Heraklion to face OFI Crete.
Abel Ferreira and his coaching staff oversaw a session focused on possession and build-up play in the final third through various drills and exercises. To wrap things up there was also a friendly, three-team mini-tournament.
Jose Mauricio took part in the full session with the group without feeling any troublesome reactions. Josip Misic withdrew from the final part of the session as part of his planned rest and recuperation plan for players who have had a lot of match time.
Fernando Varela stepped up his training efforts within the confines of his individual recovery program and he is edging closer to a return to full training. Finally, long-term absentee Pontus Wernbloom continued his recovery program with work in the swimming pool and gym.
On Friday (08.11), PAOK will train at 10:30 at the Toumba.
