  • 11 –  the number of times that the clubs have met in the Greek Cup. This time the stage is the quarter-finals, and it’s only the second time in the history of meetings that PAOK faces Panathinaikos at this stage of the competition.
  • In the 2006-07 season, Panathinaikos progressed from the quarter-final battle thanks to a 3-2 win at the ΟΑΚΑ. PAOK had won the first leg match at the Toumba by a 2-1 scoreline (31’ Konstantinidis, 42’ Miecel – 62’ Mantzios).
  • Six out of the 11 meetings have occurred at the semi-final stage, with both teams progressing three times apiece.
  • Three out of those six ties needed extra-time or penalties to decide the winner. In the first instance, PAOK progressed thanks to a 4-0 win after extra time in the 1984-85 season, since the Black and Whites managed to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg in Athens.
  • The last time the teams faced each other in the competition, PAOK qualified in impressive style, overturning a 2-0 deficit from the first leg at Leoforos with an excellent 4-0 win in Thessaloniki (14 Pelkas , 49’ Leo Matos , 73’ Shakhov, 83’ Prijovic), before claiming the trophy with a 2-1 win over ΑΕΚ in the final.
  • In the previous two meetings before that, the qualification was not decided within 90 minutes, but via extra time and penalties. On those occasions it was Panathinaikos who progressed at the expense of PAOK, at the ΟΑΚΑ in 2007 and at the Toumba in the 1993-94 season.
  • In that tie during the 1993-94 season, which was at the Round of 16 stage, both legs ended in 0-0 draws, but Panathinaikos was more effective in the penalty shootout, winning by a 5-4 scoreline.
  • 2 – the number of times that the two teams have faced each other in the final of the competition, while they have also faced each other once more at the Round of 16 stage.
