Giannoulis wins Fans Man of the Match award

Dimitris Giannoulis came out on top in the vote via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App for the Fans’ Man of the Match for the game against Benfica in the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League at the Toumba.

PAOK made history, dumped the mighty Benfica unceremoniously out of Europe, and won a place in the UEFA Champions League Play Offs. Abel Ferreira’s team prevailed over the Portuguese via a 2-1 scoreline at the Toumba, playing some excellent football.

The chief protagonist of the match, without a doubt, was Dimitris Giannoulis . Mr.NoBrakes really produced a stunning all-round display. Flawless in both defense and attack, he scored a goal and provided the assist for A. Zivkovic to score the second goal, while also making several lung-bursting runs for the entire 95 minutes that were played.

The Double-headed Eagle left-back garnered 55.99% of the votes in the Fans’ Man of the Match poll, taking home the MVP individual title.

Zivko Zivkovic was second. The Serbian goalkeeper made several important interventions during the match and kept his team upright whenever he was needed.

The podium was completed by Stefan Schwab . The Austrian midfielder seems to have fully adapted to his new surroundings and for yet another game he was excellent in central midfield for the Double-headed Eagle.
