Tziolis: «Ready for the next game»

Christos Tziolis spoke to Novasports to give his insights on the upcoming Super League game against Volos at the Panthessaliko Stadium.

25.09.2020

On his current fitness status and how the last training session went:

«I feel very good. We worked well in training. Everyone is healthy.»

On whether he feels fatigued:

«I definitely feel tired, but at the same time I’m ready for the next game.»

On whether the fatigue is more physical or psychological:

«I think both. Depending on how you combine them and how you manage them. But right now, psychologically we are all fine.»

On whether it is easy to put Europe to one side and concentrate fully on Volos:

«We relax with our families, and hang out with friends in order to relax and leave the previous game behind us and concentrate on the next one.»

On his key takeaways from the game against Krasnodar:

«Luck was not on our side unfortunately. We were unlucky when Omar’s shot hit the post and then two minutes later we conceded a goal, and we also gave away a penalty. But 2-1 away is not a bad score. We can qualify with a 1-0 here in Thessaloniki.»

On the new formation without a striker:

«It was something different. It helped us in many ways, but we also had disadvantages. We played well with the ball low, but we did not have many options when playing long balls. We battled hard and created opportunities; I think we did well.»

On the game in Volos:

«Volos is a good team which play good football. We must not slip up like we did against Atromitos after a European game. We must go there to get the victory and then focus on Europe again.»

On possible changes and rotation:

«I like that we have this opportunity. We have more solutions, we have competition for places, and this situation improves all of us.»

On where the game will be won and lost at the Panthessaliko Stadium:

«I believe that strength will play a big role, but if we play fast and direct, then we can make things easier for ourselves.»
