  • PAOK plays host to OFI for the 44th time in the Greek top flight. In their previous 43 meetings, the Double-headed Eagle have won 35 times, there have been seven draws, while the Cretan club have recorded one win.
  • OFI have lost on their last seven visits to Thessaloniki in the league, and they have in fact scored only in two of those games. Another loss in the Greek Cup last season means the total number of defeats in domestic play is eight. This series began after a 2-2 draw (8′ Vangelis, 9′ P. Konstantinidis – 6′ Leozinio, 36′ Kounenakis) between the two teams on October 6, 2007.
  • In the last seven games between the two teams, PAOK has recorded seven wins as the home team, and has scored plenty of goals, with the overall score 25-2.
  • The 2-2 draw in Crete in the second game of the Super League Play Offs brought an end to another PAOK hot streak, which saw PAOK rack up seven wins against OFI with victories both at home and away.
