Recuperation, recovery, and… running
The opening match of the Europa League group stage is now in the past. PAOK dropped two points against Omonia and attention is now firmly focused on the next match against Granada in Spain on Thursday (29.10, 22:00).
Those players in the starting XI against Omonia followed a recuperation and recovery program in the swimming pool and the gym, while the rest of the group worked on fitness conditioning through some high-intensity exercises.
Karol Swiderski was rested from training as a precaution due to some discomfort in his knee. The Polish forward’s status will be assessed in the coming days.
Omar El Kaddouri received further treatment for his injury, while Jose Crespo took part in some of the training session before breaking away to work individually.
On Saturday (24.10) the squad has a day off, and will return to training at Nea Mesimvria on Sunday (25.10) at 10:30.
