Michailidis: «Possession and aggressiveness»
Giannis Michailidis spoke to Novasports to give his insights on the upcoming Super League match against Apollon Smyrnis. Read what the young defender said via paokfc.gr.
On the two wins over Panetolikos and Larissa and what were his main takeaway points:
«The key takeaways are the good displays in both of those games, the points we won and the fact we progressed in the cup, as well as the good mentality that we have built up after those two matches. They were two wins that we needed so that we can continue to just as dynamic.»
On whether there have been matches when PAOK did not do themselves justice:
«Yes of course. We have played very good football in virtually all of the matches, but there were games when we did not get the points we should have when it should have been simple. But that’s football, we have to move forward and the points will come.
On his performances in what is, essentially, his first full professional season:
«For me it’s all about gaining experiences. I have gotten playing time both with the former coach and with Mr. Garcia. It’s great experience for me.»
On the match with Apollon:
«We know that they are a good side. In the first meeting we had earlier in the season they played well. It was a difficult game, and the second match against them will also be difficult, so we must be serious, and decisive if we want to get the win.»
On what PAOK need to do to win the game:
«We have to start strongly; we need to make sure we are in charge from the start of the match by controlling the possession and playing aggressively.»
