Misic named in PSAP’s team of the season

Josip Misic was included in the Panhellenic Professional Footballers Union’s (PSAP) team of the 2019-20 season at the organization’s awards.

15.02.2021

Just as is the case every season, PSAP recognized the best players of the previous season. The awards this year of course were held virtually, since due to health measures in place because of Covid-19, ceremonies and events are not allowed.

PAOK were among the awards in this celebration of football. Josip Misic represented the Double-headed Eagle in the 11 players who were named in the team of the 2019-20 season.

The Croatian midfielder was exceptional. He made 32 appearances, scoring six goals while also contributing 11 assists. In the summer he suffered a serious injury and departed the club to return to his natie homeland with Dinamo Zagreb.

There was also Black and White interest in the honorary awards. PAOK’s New Media Director Panagiotis Aroniadis received a special award for his participation in PSAP’s activities in schools, along with AEK, Aris, Panathinaikos and Olympiakos.

Finally, awards were also received by two former players of the club, both of whom retired from active action in 2020. Stelios Malezas and Alexandros Tziolis were awarded for their contribution to Greek football.
