On what the away win in Copenhagen gave the team other than the three points:

«It was a performance that we needed to produce after what happened on Sunday against Volos, where I think we generally played well but somehow we lost it psychologically. The next few days after the match was difficult for us mentally. It caught us off guard, so we needed a game and a match like that to give us a boost to be ready psychologically and physically for Sunday’s derby.»

On PAOK’s run of six successive away wins and what it says about the team:

«It shows that the team has big personalities and footballers that can cope with these conditions, because it is not easy to win away from your home ground. So what we have to do now is to improve our appearances at our stadium, because so far we have two draws and we have lost a game. We know that when you are at home you should lose as few points as possible. That is why it’s good that we have been playing well away from home, but we have to improve at home too.»

On what he expects from the battle with Olympiacos:

«We know that it will be a difficult game; it’s a derby clash with two teams that are fighting for the title. It’s never easy to play at their stadium, but we have great confidence in the quality of the team, and more generally at the work we have done and are doing.»

On what PAOK should take care of:

«This is a question that is best to ask the coach to answer. We know they have a good team, play good football and have quality players in the midfield and up front. In particular, this means that we must be very careful in defense. We have to be perfect in our defensive duties and absolutely concentrated. From there and onwards, I think we will find spaces to create opportunities to score a goal and take what we want from the game. I think it will generally be a close match, but if we do what the coach has asked us to do and shown us these past two days, I think we can get the victory.»

On whether it is a decisive match in terms of the destination of the title:

«I think it is very early because we are still only at Matchday 7 and we have another 30 games, but in terms of psychology I think it is quite important. If you win this game, you will feel that you are in a strong position to claim the championship. But in terms of deciding the outcome of the season, it is still too early, however it is definitely an important game for a psychological boost.»

On if he is 100% ready physically after his injury:

«I missed almost two months, so within a couple of games it’s not easy to get back to 100%. What I need to do is to find my rhythm again. I have been taking part in full training workouts for the last 20 days, but that is not counting the games. So I have to try and play through a series of matches, again to get the rhythm I had before and be 100% ready.»
