Kurtic, leader and executioner-in-chief
December was definitely the month of Jasmin Kurtic. Via your votes on paokfc.gr and via the PAOK FC Official App, you have picked out the Slovenian as the BOX MVP.
Kurtic is in exceptional form. He had fully adapted to life at the Double-headed Eagle, and to Greek football, a fact which he proves week-in and week-out on the pitch.
In December, he was a joy to watch. He scored six goals, made no mistakes from the penalty spot, produced a stunning, buzzer-beating free-kick in the cup game against Larissa, and was generally a true leader.
He showed passion in his game, collaborated perfectly with whoever was on the pitch alongside him in midfield, he gave and won countless battles, and contributed the most to the club’s comeback.
And understandably, in the poll for the December BOX MVP, Kurtic received 52.18% of the votes to claim the individual award.
Andrija Zivkovic was in second place. The Serb continued his rich vein of form in the last month of 2021, while the podium was completed by Chuba Akpom, who also found his old self again towards the end of the year, returning to the goals trail and helping the team significantly overall.
