Joan Sastre Vanrell was born on April 301997, in the town of Poreres in Mallorca. From an early age he loved football and in 2009 he joined the academies of his local team.

He passed through all of the .. educational levels and made his official debut with the B team in the third tier of Spanish football.

In the 2015-16 season, he played for the first time with the first team in a match against Huesca in the Copa Del Rey, while his performances earned him a call up to the Spain Under-19 squad.

In the 2017-18 season he was elevated to the first team permanently, but Mallorca were relegated to the Segunda B. With Sastre as a regular starter afterwards, Mallorca won two consecutive promotions and returned to La Liga, with the player receiving a vote of confidence from the club with a contract renewal until 2023.

The Spanish right-back continued to play a leading role in the team for the next two seasons, although Mallorca were again relegated to the Segunda, but they immediately won promotion again the following season.

During the first half of this season Sastre made nine appearances and decided to accept the challenge of PAOK for a new chapter in his career.

The Spaniard has made 13 appearances so far this season for the club, scoring two goals and producing one assist.
