Magomed Ozdoyev joins PAOK

PAOK announces the acquisition of Magomed Ozdoev from Fatih Karagyumriuk. The Russian midfielder has signed a contract with the Double-headed Eagle until June 30, 2025, with the right to renew for another year. and he will wear the number 27 shirt.

Ozdoev was born on November 5, 1992 in Grozny, Russia. He started out at the Angust academies, reached the second team of Akhmat Grozny before moving to Lokomotiv Moscow, where he made his professional debut.

He stayed in Moscow for five years and made 68 appearances, scoring three goals and contributing five assists. In July 2014, Rubin Kazan made him theirs on loan and acquired him on a regular transfer a year later. He stayed for four seasons and played in 104 games, scoring nine goals and dishing out nine assists.

In 2017, Rubin Kazan loaned him to the team where he took his first steps in football. He played at Akhmat Grozny for one semester before leaving for the most important stage of his career up to that point.

Zenit agreed with Rubin Kazan and brought Ozdoev to St. Petersburg. In five years he won four championships, one cup and two Super Cups. He played in 116 matches, scoring eight goals and providing 13 assists.

In July 2022, he was released and left Russia for the first time in his career. He settled with Fatih Karagyumriuk and moved to Turkey. He played in 34 games, scoring five goals and providing six assists.

Having come through the ranks of Russia’s youth national teams, Ozdoev made his debut with the senior side in September 2014 under Fabio Capello, and has since made 34 appearances, scoring four goals and serving up two assists.
