PAOK Under-19s start with 3-1 win over OFI
Comfortable, … yet dominant (allow us the excitement of the premiere), PAOK’s Under-19 side scored three goals, hit the woodwork and created a hatful of many other opportunities en-route to a 3-1 win over OFI in their first match of the Super League championship.
Chatsidis opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a header from a free-kick taken by Goumas, and in the 33rd minute, Deligiannis doubled the advantage with a side-footed effort following a nice piece of individual play to fashion the chance.
PAOK also scored in the 54th minute with Kalogiros converting a penalty kick won by Goumas to put the visitors 3-0 to the good. The home team reduced the deficit in the 90th minute, but that was too little too late, with the Double-headed Eagle even almost making it four goals at the finish, however, Panikidis was denied by the frame of the goal.
The team’s next game is against Aris, after the international break.
