Giakoumakis first and… wonderful goal
A first and extremely impressive goal from Giorgos Giakoumakis was the strike that won the preference of paokfc.gr’s audience to claim the Regency Casino Best Goal of August award.
The Greek striker came off the bench and ran on to a wonderful ball in behind the opposing defense from Giannis Konstantelias . Then, with a «sombrero», he skipped past his marker on the touchline, controlled the ball with his chest and unleashed a thunderbolt from an acute angle into the back of the net.
Despite the tough competition, Giakoumakis came first in the public’s preferences and won the individual award, taking the Regency Casino Best Goal of August award with a percentage of 60.13%.
In second place was Mady Kamara’s incredible goal in Austria against Wolfsberger, which gave the Double-headed Eagle the qualification, while the podium was completed by Kiril Despodov’s winner against AEL at the Toumba.
